Clinical Social Worker & Forensic Mental Health Evaluator

It is a privilege to walk alongside individuals as they navigate the complexities of trauma, health, and the legal system. My practice is grounded in the "person-in-environment" perspective, an approach that recognizes how our unique histories, biological health, and social systems intersect to shape our mental well-being.

Professional Background
I hold a Master of Social Work from Western Michigan University and am currently a Doctoral Student in Advanced Clinical Practice at the University of Alabama. My advanced academic research and clinical training focus on the cognitive-behavioral treatment of trauma, psychopathology, and the mind-body connection.

With over a decade of experience as a Spanish-language interpreter, I bring a high level of linguistic and cultural competency to my work, ensuring that every individual’s experience is understood with nuance and accuracy.

Clinical Practice: Therapy for Healing
In my therapeutic work, I specialize in the intersection of trauma, chronic pain, and illness. Having personally navigated the complexities of autoimmune challenges, I understand the profound impact that physical health has on the brain and spirit.

My approach is trauma-informed and evidence-based, utilizing:

  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and CBT for Chronic Pain (CBT-CP)

  • Internal Family Systems (IFS)

  • Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART)

My goal in therapy is to provide a safe, structured environment where you can process your history, build resilience, and reclaim a sense of peace and purpose.

Forensic Practice: Objective Evaluation
As a forensic evaluator, I provide independent psychological assessments for legal proceedings, with a specialization in immigration matters (Extreme Hardship, VAWA, U-Visa, T-Visa, and Asylum).

In this role, I adhere to the strict professional standards of neutrality and objectivity. I understand that the integrity of the legal record depends on unbiased expert testimony. My forensic work is guided by:

  • The Istanbul Protocol: I follow international "gold standards" for documenting trauma and persecution.

  • Forensic Rigor: I utilize standardized psychometric testing, thorough record reviews, and clinical interviews to provide the trier of fact with a reliable, evidence-based clinical picture.

  • Expert Testimony: My reports are designed to assist the Court and USCIS by providing clear, diagnostic data that meets the rigorous requirements of the Executive Office for Immigration Review (EOIR).

Elevated Therapeutic Services LLC provides both clinical psychotherapy and independent forensic evaluations. Please be advised that these represent two distinct professional roles with different ethical requirements.

Forensic Neutrality: In the capacity of a forensic evaluator, our practitioners serve as objective, neutral experts for the court and do not act as legal advocates. We adhere to the highest forensic standards, including the Istanbul Protocol, to provide the trier of fact with independent clinical data. A forensic evaluation does not constitute a therapeutic relationship, and we do not guarantee any specific legal outcome.

Clinical Integrity: Our therapeutic services are evidence-based and trauma-informed, focused on the health and resilience of the individual. We maintain strict professional boundaries to ensure the integrity and credibility of all clinical and forensic work.
